WWA Spring Community Event!
The WWA PTO is happy to report that we'll once again be partnering with the Wright Cause Benevolence Committee this year for the Spring Community Event!
There will be three components to the day:
1. Wright Cause Walk, to promote awareness and funds for the Wright Cause Benevolence Fund - please click here (http://thewrightcause.com/) for much more info about this amazing and meaningful program.
2. ARC Truck Fundraiser, to raise the remaining funds needed to pay for all the amazing services PTO provides for our teachers and students.
3. Tons of fun for students and families - jumpy castle, dunk tank, food trucks, arts and crafts, and more!
SAVE THE DATE!
Saturday, May 2
10am - 3pm
PTO is super excited to partner with ARC to bring a fabulous, no-cost fundraiser to WWA. All donations are tax deductible and anyone can donate. Please note the following:
-No large furniture or appliances will be collected - all items must be small enough so they can be lifted by one adult by themselves.
-No TVs or Computer Monitors
-No Mattresses or Box Springs
-No Building or Home Improvement Items
We know that May is a long way off, so we have come up with a solution so that you don't have to store your unwanted treasures for 5 months. Between now and the end of March, we will be collecting your treasures on a monthly basis. ARC will pick them up, tally our proceeds and save the funds for a large check after the May Main Event. The ARC truck will also be parked at school during the big event in May, and for a few days before or after.
First drop-off date: Friday, December 19 - bring your items before or after school, and look for our table out front! If it’s cold, we will be inside.
-Bags should be roughly the size of a grocery store paper bag; NOT large trash bags
-Please avoid flimsy plastic bags
-We will be paid $1/bag collected
We still have a lot of details to work out and would love for one of our WWA Parents to sign up to chair this event. In the meantime, if you have questions or comments, please email Molly (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Sarah (email@example.com).
