Why should I get involved?

Why not? Being involved with PTO will allow you to:

  • Find fun ways to fulfill your volunteer hours.
  • Stay in the loop about what's going on at school — both inside the classroom and out.
  • Gain a greater understanding of educational issues impacting us here at WWA.
  • Vote on how PTO-raised funds are allocated and speak up about issues affecting your child.
  • Meet fun and interesting new parents.

WOW and Thank you!
Woodrow parents are amazing! You all dropped off $484 worth of goods for the ARC donation drop off on February 27. We really appreciate your support! These funds are part of our Spring Event and Fundraiser (see more info below), and will go toward supporting our teachers, students, and many of the wonderful programs that happen at WWA.

Please click here to get a better idea of the kinds of programs, events and services your PTO pays for each year at WWA!

This was the last donation drop-off before the big Spring Event on May 2. The ARC truck will be parked at school that entire weekend, so please start saving your unwanted treasures, and you can bring them then.

WWA Spring Community Event!
There will be three components to this AWESOME day!

1. Wright Cause Walk, to promote awareness and funds for the Wright Cause Benevolence Fund. Please click here (http://thewrightcause.com/) for much more info about this amazing and meaningful program. Please check out this flier with more info about this years' walk!

2. ARC Truck Fundraiser, to raise the remaining funds needed to pay for all the amazing services PTO provides for our teachers and students. The ARC truck will be parked at school from Friday, May 1, through Monday, May 4. Please start saving your unwanted treasures until then!

3. Tons of fun for students and families - jumpy castle, dunk tank, food trucks, arts and crafts, community vendor booths, live music by Academy of Rock, and more!

NO COST Fundraiser!
PTO is partnering with ARC to bring a fabulous fundraiser to WWA. Our goal is to raise $7,000 to cover our remaining expenses for this school year. You have already helped us raise over $1,000 - thank you! All donations are tax deductible and anyone can donate.

While you may have participated in a similar fundraiser before, ARC has changed the way they run these events, so please note the following:

-No large furniture or appliances will be collected - all items must
be small enough that it can be lifted by one adult by themselves.
-No TVs or Computer Monitors
-No Mattresses or Box Springs
-No Building or Home Improvement Items

Spread the word! Neighbors, family, friends, anyone can donate to this wonderful cause and we will provide receipts for your taxable donation.
